We genuinely care about our client’s satisfaction and aim to maintain long term relationships with them. ‘Jacana’ achieves this by going beyond what is asked & expected of us in the ‘contract’. We will do what we have to do to provide customer satisfaction.

In short, we believe in delivering what the client wants through good organisation, communications and quality of service. You will only pay once for a job to be done properly. We do not charge for senior management time nor do we add hidden charges. As a rule, what we quote is what you pay (subject to unforeseen occurrences). We price our work competitively & fairly but we price the work to do the jobs properly – we will not deliberately under quote work in order to get it or take shortcuts to maximise our short term profits.



We will provide a quality workmanship guarantee to ensure client confidence. Most of work being service related means that we are reliant on our staff. To achieve these high standards we take care of our employees. In an economy with a very mobile workforce we retain our staff loyalty by offering better than standard remunerations including, higher rates of pay, target bonuses, Employee of the Month awards and we ensure that we comply with Zambian labour office requirements. We provide our staff with necessary training and equipment/tools to carry out their work properly and safely. We also encourage progression of our staff by offering special skills training such as Tree Surgery, chemical spraying, pruning and propagation. We also provide our staff with additional benefits such as a medical cover plan and counselling on medical issues and environmental awareness issues. In short, our staff want to work for Jacana. They value their jobs and so they do their best to keep our clients happy.

Our "Green" Mission

With the demand for businesses to be greener, we recognise that environmental management is now a key focus for all responsible organisations. We acknowledge our client’s shared concerns and respect their requirements. We have set up basic principles and guidelines for our staff to assist them in carrying out their work, in particular relating to the following:
● Waste Disposal - We encourage recycling of waste, in particular garden waste being converted to compost or wood from our tree surgery work.
● Chemical Usage – We discourage pesticides or highly toxic chemicals whenever possible preferring organic methods of horticulture.
● Water Usage - We teach the wise use of water energy efficiency; we train our staff that energy has costs, both environmentally and economically.
